U.S. Mixed Martial Artsâ € ™ of Bellingham is committed to empowering families with information about child safety and protection. His recent child safety Open attracted over 175 attendees and helped to launch a series of free self defense classes for the community.

$ 500 raised in the proceeds of the sale of memorabilia signed by the Champion Mixed Martial Arts fighters were donated to the Bellingham Random Smile Project, an organization nonprofit that provides temporary assistance to families and individuals through difficult circumstances.

Parents and guardians of approximately 100 children were pleased to have the opportunity to have their children fingerprinted for identification security and Security Open House Child. Together with fingerprinting, Franklin DARE police officers were on site to talk to the children and gave Sutton and Bellingham Police K-9 demonstrations. Attendees also enjoyed Mixed Martial Arts and self-defense demonstrations Massage Chair Free.

â € œWe had an excellent participation and hope to make this an annual event, â € said Tom Hafers, owner of USMMA.

The first in the series of self-defense classes, is a free Rape Prevention and Self-defense class for teens and adults, to be held on April 18 at € USMMAâ ™ s training center located at 316 Hartford Avenue.
