When the National Health Service sought a way to reduce the incidence of allergies and asthma in Scotland, found a surprising solution: apples.

Just one block a week significantly reduced the frequency of allergies and asthma. A similar benefit was found by eating oranges. In a subsequent study of school children London from 5 to 10, consumption of apple juice at least once a day has not been found to prevent any single asthma attack, but was found to reduce wheezing. And a Dutch study found that women who eat apples during pregnancy have children at less risk of allergies, asthma and eczema.

The British experience and subsequent laboratory studies in Japan suggest that the reason for an apple a day (or even an apple a week) may maintain the conditions for checking is atopic is due to the fruit content of quercetin.

This antioxidant flavonoid compounds block the action of an enzyme called hyalouronidase. Hyalouronidase is responsible for the inflammation in the nasal passages.

Hyalouronidase also breaks into small packets of full mast cells of histamine, allergic irritation agent. How dietary quercetin blocks the action of the enzyme and keeps the irritation of being released.

Consumption food with the chemical of useful plants not only associated with a reduced risk of skin and lung reactions, but also with a lower risk of cancer lung.

Not everyone everywhere, of course, has access to an apple a day. You can also benefit from:

  • Grapefruit,
  • Onions,
  • Red wine,
  • Black Tea, and to a lesser extent,
  • Beans and
  • Green leafy vegetables

There are, however, certain foods that can destroy the protective effects of quercetin (and its medications for allergies, too). These are foods containing the amino acid histidine, which the human body can convert to histamine (the chemical irritant anti-histamines are designed to fight). The list includes:

  • Isolated soy
  • Tofu dry
  • Bacon,
  • Game meat (especially of whales and seals, but venison, boar, and antelope), and
  • Powdered eggs, although

Almost any type of fish or meat is high in histidine.

Some foods, like fresh tuna, especially for developing high levels of irritant chemcials decomposition histidine, if not stored in proper cooling. If the spicy tuna steak, tastes even before it has experienced particularly strong cause inflammation (scombroid poisoning) and aggravate allergies you may have.

So an apple a day can keep allergies away and tuna blinky will do worse. Try eating apples, oranges, grapefruit, onions, or green vegetables and tea all day and see if your allergies do not improve.
